Yes! Registering an account and using the platform is absolutely free. There are no registration fees, setup costs, monthly subscriptions, or account maintenance charges. We only charge a standard 10% platform service fee on successful tipping transactions (which can either be covered by the tipper or deducted from the tip).

We ensure instant, real-time communications for all actions on TipMe.lk:

1. **Email**: Senders receive digital transaction receipts. Receivers get email notifications for new tips, payout status, and KYC updates.
2. **SMS**: Verified mobile phone numbers receive instant SMS updates (powered by secure SMS gateways) as soon as a new tip is received, so you are notified even without an active internet connection.
3. **Dashboard Log**: All system-generated communications are logged under the "My Communications" tab in your profile dashboard for permanent record.

No! Tippers do not need to download any application. Simply scan the professional's unique TipMe QR code using your phone's camera, which will open their secure profile in your web browser. You can then choose or enter a tip amount and pay instantly.

We support major international and local payment methods including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and popular local mobile wallets, processed securely through our trusted payment gateways.

Tips are deposited directly and securely into the service professional's verified local Sri Lankan bank account. Payouts can be requested at any time from the profile dashboard and are processed quickly.

TipMe.lk is completely free for Senders and Tippers by default. The standard platform service fee is 10%. By default, this fee is covered by the Tipper (Sender) so the professional receives the full tip amount.

**Example (Default - Tipper Covers Fee)**: If you tip LKR 1,000, you pay LKR 1,100 at checkout, and the professional receives the full LKR 1,000.

**Example (Tipper chooses to deduct)**: You can choose to uncheck the toggle at checkout to pass the fee to the professional. In this case, you pay LKR 1,000, LKR 100 is deducted, and the professional receives LKR 900.

All calculations are displayed in **real-time** on the payment screen as you toggle the fee option.

Anyone in Sri Lanka who is at least 18 years old and works in the service or tourism industry (e.g., driver, tour guide, hotel staff, independent creator) is eligible to register. Before you can request payouts, you must complete identity verification (KYC). You upload a clear digital photo of your National Identity Card (NIC), Driving License, or Passport, along with a verification selfie. All documents are transmitted securely (via SSL/TLS) and stored on secure directories with strict access control for verification by our admin team.
